Ok folks, I like to buy coins from this online auction site called proxibid, coins can go cheap coins can go high in price. but what i am asking is, would it worth spending your money on coins from an online auction? this auction dealer sells their coins pretty cheap https://www.proxibid.com/asp/Catalog.asp?aid=145963#Top I just don't know weather or not they are real. it is hard to find full rolls of Indian head pennies at 12 dollars and it is also hard to find three cent pieces in that good of a shape. but to add 8 dollars for shipping is a tough call. I don't know what to do, Thanks.
When one cannot even spell their own business name correctly, it's probably not the best sign.... Take as you will.
ProxiBid is just that a bidding proxy for many auction houses. Therefor the terms and conditions and guarantees and such vary widely. READ THEM.
Only thing the description on the rolls is that they don't have holes, doesn't mean they don't have other damage. In looking at their other lots, as mentioned they coin is call a rare key date, even the very common ones. His grading is an absolute joke. For example his 1865 2 cent that he calls Very Fine, I would call AG. And then there is the 18% buyers premium. The only "plus" is the flat rate shipping of $8 no matter how many coins you win. But considering the losses you will have on the overgraded coins that isn't much of a plus.
