Picked this denarius up last week, The reverse is a copy of a Sestertius issued under Trajan 90 years earlier. Septimius Severus and his sons restored the Roman Empire to his former size, as it was under Trajan. Sestertius Trajan (not mine) * Show your Caracalla victory coins Britain, Germania and Mesopotamia ,thanks
Very cool addition! I don't have any that you requested but here's a Caracalla featuring Mars: Caracalla, AD 198-217 AR Denarius, 20mm, 2.8g, 12h; Rome Mint, AD 206 Obv.: ANTONINVS PIVS AVG; Laureate, draped bust right, seen from behind. Rev.: PONTIF TR P VIIII COS II; Mars, in military dress, standing left, resting right hand on shield and holding spear.
