I was looking through junk Roosevelts at a coin shop ($1.30 each) when this one caught my eye. Not only is it a 46-S, but the grade is amazing. It has strong luster, great color, a hammered strike, and very few marks. I think it has a chance at grading 67FB!

Is there something going on with the rim on both sides, or am I just misreading the photo?

The rim is finned due to the very sharp strike.

Coin was removed from an encasement thus the rim looking that way.
And that's why it was in the junk box..... I saw a 1922 Lincoln cent last week at a show had the same rim..... it was removed from a good luck pocket piece.

Maybe it's the angle of the photo, but at this point I could be swayed one way or the other.
