1978 ear error?

I noticed the ear is different than every other 1978 D and 1978 penny I looked at. The mint mark also looked a little different. I can't find anything on it, and this group has been great with feedback, so I ask the experts. The Penny on the left is the oddball .. Is this rare? Ever heard of this?

After making these side by sides pics, it all looks weird now lol

 

Just a normal Overpolished Die issue on the Die mixed with circulation wear and tear..
Nothing major.
