This auction was brought to my attention by a friend. He asked me if I thought they were counterfeit. I am not the best at spotting counterfeits. Therefore I never report stuff like this, but something about this lot doesn't look right to me. For one they never made a 1963 Seated liberty dollar that I am aware of. Also the obverse of the Morgans look wrong. Especially the 1893. This could just be the angle of the photos. Here is a link to the upcoming auction https://www.invaluable.com/auction-lot/3-silver-coin-D524A9B93D What do you think? Thanks...Mont.
The person who showed me this, and is also a member of this forum said he contacted the auction house to report them fake and they replied saying that they were consigned by a well know trusted collector and all coins are authentic. Sounds like another auction house that will be on my do not buy from list.
All you have to know is that the Far Eastern languages completely lacked any words for concepts like "counterfeit", "intellectual property" or "copyright". They had no such concepts.
You're right. It was Siamese - the two cats may even be Siamese Twins !!! As for the film, worth seeing, you might even get it on DVD.
