Delay of game - 1 point penalty 400 I love this one, the frost on the bird and the color are really impressive
I would not buy a coin like that don't like toned coins like this I don't see any beauty in it .over priced but its in the eyes of the holder . a coin is worth what a person is willing to pay don't matter what some sheet says as in my opinion all coins are overpriced
I have some avice for you STU. The markets are what they are. If someone is willing to pay X price for something, that's what it's worth. I wish I could buy a house for the price of 1-2 years salary like my grandparents and parents could in the 60s and 70s. But thats not the real world.

Ok--I know I"m the odd one here and don't shoot me when I give my opinion, lol. I don't like toned coins and have never bought one. This one in particular has a very strange shape--it's not as if something was laying on top of it. To me finding natural unblemished coins is much harder than buying coins with tones. To me something with a tone means it was affected in some way to get that way. Plus who knows what the toning is covering up. Just my opinion and as I said I'm sure i'm the odd one here, lol. Love this site though
In this thread I'd be pretty sure you are the odd man out. Metal naturally tones in most conditions. It does it in different ways and speeds depending on the metal, the dies/way it was struck and it's conditions it's kept in. Ton's of those "natural unblemished coins" are dipped to make them new looking again. Shoot I have Silver eagles that toned in 1 year from their striking. So, I'm not sure how finding coins that have been dipped is harder?
Lol--that's my point. Finding coins that haven't been dipped or toned is a real challenge. If they tone after I have them there's nothing I can do about it--but at least I know it will be natural. I have a washington quarter gem bu collection going on 5 years now-=-=no toning at all--I'm sure over time that could change.
You definitely live in your own world, all coins tone. If you have bought any coin that is pre 65' and still brilliant white, it has been dipped, at one time or another, especially a peace dollar or older.
