My first ddo!! 1948

This coin may be possibly my first DDO. 1948 DDO-001, 1-0-IV. Opinions welcome. I see doubling in the motto for sure. I can also provide any high-resolution photos, if requested.

I don't see what you are seeing. The D in God looks different.

 

I'll take another photo. I'm still learning how to adjust the lighting on the new coin camera. More to come shortly.

 

It has considerable wear, but I adjusted the lighting so you should be able to see doubling on the southend of "D" and "G" in the motto, and the northend of the "I and N" in the motto, too. Those are the prominent points I'm seeing so far. I still need to study it further, but I think it's a good match.

 

I think a clear and well light photo showing the eye would be conclusive here.

Try using full imag instead of thumbnails.

That my friend unfortunately is die deterioration. Die deterioration doubling can be very deceptive. No added value. No collecter interest. Hope I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure I'm not.

 

Really? Wow. And I thought I had posted a ddo by eliminating mechanical doubling. Maybe, someone else could confirm. @paddyman98 Thanks for your help, Steve!
