Should there be a 75th anniversary special coin for the Roosevelt dime?

No, all presidents need to be removed from our coinage. We need to create timeless designs. Can’t do that because special interest groups would call anyone suggest this “un American”

I'd like to see a special 90% silver anniversary issue.

That design is long overdue for a complete redesign, and no more presidents, please.

I agree that a redesign of our coinage is overdue.

But considering the stuff that has come out of the Mint recently, part of me says to leave well enough alone.

The Roosevelt dime should be minted in silver for its 75th anniversary. I dread the release of any new US coin designs; they're bedoming more and more like coins of the Warsaw Pact from the 50's and 60's: quasi-heroic and fakey patriotic ugly busts and oversimplified designs; think: shield-backed Lincoln cent and nightmarish Jefferson nickels.

It will be, just as it has been since 1992, in the silver proof sets.

I think the days of business strike coinage in silver are long gone and will not be returning.
