That would depend on which set of grading standards you chose to use. Using the ANA standards, it's an F12 coin. Using the PCGS standards, it would make a VF.
No, I just don't see EF or XF depending on which acronym you use. I do see VF-20/25, and a very nice coin as well. Ben
DeOrc: I am just wondering what that reddish tint is in the background. Is that from a scanner? or is it the coin itself?
DeOrc: The reddish tint is from my scanner and not visible on the coin. This happens to several coin scans and I don't know what to do about it. Any advise.
GDJMSP had always mentioned to put a little something (don't know what) under the coin to give it a slight angle. You could try that. Nice Quarter, BTW !
VF 20 would be my grade (mostly because I can't see any luster, which may just be the photo). Love circulated SLQs -- a lot of value in these coins, methinks.
