    a Series 1935 Dollar !!
good condition too considering how old it is.

Someone must have gotten an inheritance of old money / found it hidden away / etc and just spend it at face value.

Nice Note, but unfortunately it’s not in the best shape. Here’s one that recently sold for about $3.50 on EBay (and is in better condition based on pictures IMHO).

P.S. Nice circulation find and looks legit to me.

I've seen worse. But just up here ^^^ I see better. I save 'em because I like them. If it has a neat serial #, so much the better.

I have a buddy that claims he can these all day long and not to hold them due to lack of any possible significant value. I don't know much about paper currency at any rate so I don't collect them.

I love all the old bills that state something like "payable in Silver (or Gold) to the bearer on demand"

They are interesting in that aspect I suppose. Just think if you could actually exchange paper in silver today? Hard to believe we used to do that. Probably our economy would be a lot more stable if we could (versus just printing colored paper based on nothing out of nothing representing nothing). It's a house of cards that has to go 'bye-bye' sooner or later I'd think.

Yeah, because it's only lasted longer than any other system INCLUDING a metal-backed one.

21 trillion and counting. Can't wait til it's 120 trillion, things should be just peachy by then! But I suppose this could evolve into some other topic that's likely to be frowned upon by the powers that be so I'll refrain. Anyway, to each his own. :)

I'll say $2 max. And the redemption period for silver ended in 1964. You were still able to redeem them for bullion (small silver granules?) till 1968.
It's worth at least face value if you spend it. $2 is even high because they made so many of them and they were saved, and it has folds/ wrinkles. But I think the market is right around $2. EBay $3.50 is a gouge.

Thanks for all the feedback , I haven't seen the older Bill's in a long time so naturally it looks fake especially with the serial numbers not lined up
