I'm doing a set of 1 of each 6 varieties of the Seated Liberty Half Dollar. $150 budget per coin, getting the highest grade possible for that price. Thoughts? Advice?
I will be doing this all face to face with a dealer

I personally think you could have a more attractive set if the coins match for grade and appearance, rather then "highest grade I can get for $150." That's just me. But something to consider. I love seated halves, good project!

I completely agree. I'd budget for each type coin after apportioning your $900 according to what the total would be for the 6 coins in each grade . . . Doing so with common dates should permit you to realistically target cherry examples of each in F15 . . . VF20 if you're both lucky and patient.
