2004 P nickel error

Hello, I am just now getting into coin roll hunting and came across this nickel. I was wondering if this was an error. I am referring to the mark on the star between Liberty and 2004. There are no scratch marks. It almost looks like it wasn't struck properly to me. Any thougjts or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like a 'struck thru', caused
by grease or machinery oil.

 

Thank you so much, is that worth anything usually? Or just something to add to the collection?

 

Not a rare or valuable error type.

Keep it as an error, and as an interesting
conversation piece, but it's only worth a
few bucks or so.....
