I think the US Mint should change the color of the packaging of it's silver eagle products, I think green would look good. What color do you think the silver eagle packaging be? DbVTqtIVMAAHw46.jpg-large.jpeg

I like the blue. I'm not a fan of the color green in general either.

Plus would they then want to change the color for Gold and Platinum (and Palladium) coins ?

I would be ok with green, but I find the current cases acceptable too.

Haven't they already changed them a few times over the years? At least I think so anyways as I seem to recall I have a few in different colors.

Weren't they once maroon? I look at mine so seldom. But change for change's sake is pretty stupid.

To think we hunted the very rare maroon velour to extinction. Pity.

I think some years of the Proof Gold Eagles came in a maroon packaging; others in blue or tan?

The original few years, the proof packaging was purple.

Mine get separated from their boxes immediately.

I'm partially colorblind so I can't tell the difference :wideyed:

I bet they change at some point, simply because the Mint can.

What color are they now? I think I have maroon and blue ones, but I stopped buying the proof singles after they screwed up the finish over 10 years ago.

They're still a very dark blue right now, as is the box for the W-mint uncirculated, but that one just has a capsule inside, not the spring hinge box.
