You might recognize this 1868 IHC from earlier: It’s the one with the rare die gouge I bought for $28.

I’ve been thinking of submitting it to PCGS for resale, but the problem is, I’m scared of it grading Details - Damaged because of the scratches near the C. I’ve seen worse in problem free slabs, but does PCGS have a good chance at straight grading this coin?

Just my personal opinion, but I don't see anything that would prevent a straight grade.

Light scratches around the C and E in CENT. I don’t think it’ll details just because of that, but given how picky PCGS can be I decided to check in with this forum.

Those are not "LIGHT" scratches! There are a few "gouges." Nevertheless, you have a 50/50 shot at a straight grade due to the low grade of the coin. I wish that were not the case. When someone attempts to sell this coin in the future, that's the first thing a dealer will point out.

I took another look at the coin, and the scratches are really exaggerated by the picture. I'm not too scared anymore.

I think they aren't looking for reasons to straight grade it, but instead anything questionable and it will details. The missing metal on the obverse nip, and the gouges and scratches on the reverse.
IDK if you need to slab this to sell it, as a variety collector will know what it is and what the value should be.
