So Ive been collecting pennys since i was 7, dont know what it is about pennys that always made me wanna keep them....all of them! Ive just recently began looking at the other coins only in a search to find errors. My brother in law bought a trailer and found a box of coins and gave them to me since he knows how much i enjoy just checking them out. Amougst these coins there are several i have questions about but id like to start with this one a 1967 quarter that seems to be missing a clad layer....now im not sure but thats what it appears like to me so i wanted to get a second, third, fourth opinion. What do ya'll think?
Ps i dont know if the pictures downloaded or not because it doesnt tell me so someone please let me know.

I'm going to guess that it's not missing a clad layer.

Sorry, but it's just environmental damage. It is worth a quarter. It's not uncommon to find coins that have been buried to look like that. If you search the CT archives for Metal Detecting finds, there are lots and lots of pics showing coins like yours.
