I not an expert, but I found a bicentennial quarter in my collection that stood out, odd. I'm not sure if it a defect r if it had a bad life, but it doesn't wash off. Let me know what u think please, thanks. It is the bottom one in the picture, half of it doesn't have any shine.
@gabe9991. This is a completely irresponsible comment. Even with the blurry pictures, it is apparent that the coin has suffered environmental damage after it left the mint. Based on the question, the OP is new to collecting. Suggesting that she has something valuable and should spend in excess of $50 to have it evaluated is the absolute wrong advice to give to a new collector. Perhaps you would like to explain why you believe the coin is valuable? We all have different experience levels and you may see something that rest of us are missing. Nothing wrong with offering your opinion. Opinions and feedback are a great way for people to learn. But please, do not suggest that an inexperienced collector send coins to a TPG unless you have some specific reason to do so.
Hard to tell from plain text if he is joking, he needs to say so. Otherwise he WILL be considered a troll. He gave bad advice on another post too...Spark
wet towel, baking power and thats it. Unless it got damage. just leave it alone. Bicentennial quarters the silver version only contains 40% silver. Its not worth having it checked out as you have to pay shipping fees and insurance.
