My Cent collection is growing (slowly it seems). Sorry for being lazy, but I’m using the sellers’ pictures for now. My most recent additions. . . I don’t typically go for toners, but the toning on the Lincoln VDB looks pretty awesome IMHO. And the toning looks even better in hand! So both of these recent acquisitions get added to this. . . Now I’m on the hunt for a nice Flying Eagle.
Ay, Chihuahua! Wasn't expecting to see beauties like these here! Love those delicate rosy hints on the VDB. The others are stunners, too.
Over the years, I’ve posted several times about “blaming” my dad for me catching the coin bug. Dad passed his collection to me a few years before he passed away. Although we were close in many other ways, I often wish I could have shared the bug with him when he was living. Since catching the bug, my collecting focus has been all over the place. Or maybe I haven’t had a focus at all! From Peace and Morgan Dollars to classic commemoratives and even moderns. Oh, and paper. Although Dad also dabbled in a bunch of different coins and currency, his primary focus was on U.S. Cents, mostly wheaties as he called them. So, I guess it’s true that we do eventually turn into our parents! Or it’s just Dad’s ongoing influence on me.
Yep it really shows in the examples you have picked so far! Nice start and I’m sure your next coin(s) will be just as appealing!
