I title this, "Another bag, a bummer, then something weird happens..."

I was on another business trip, and as I always do, find a bank to sell me a bag of halves. I find one, nearly full, in a rural area, and think . But then I tear it apart and only find 1 - 67 . Evidently this area is fully hunted and I stumbled on someone's dumps. This is on the heels of $1K in additional CWR's I came across that just had 2 - 40's and 6 NIFC's.

Then I go home, and go to two local banks that have produced in the past but not recently. At one, the teller says,"We have a bag of those. $17 please." I gladly paid when I saw what was inside: 18 - 40's and 2 - 90's (1964).

The second bank had $70 in CWR's, which had 28 - 40's and 6 - 90's (1964). Between the two, it almost made up for what would have normally been in a bag.

Another trip is coming up where there's at least $1K out there. Stay tuned.

Did some light bank hopping today. Ended up with $10ish in clad kennedies and 1 ike. Ordered a box from a bank that usually gives brink boxes so I'm hoping for a slipperysocks-esque box.

Fingers crossed! Itching for some silver!

I wasn't in town yesterday so I picked up my boxes today, The branch manager at one bank informed she had an extra box plus 5 rolls, I pulled 1-68 out of those 5 rolls and out of 9 boxes, 7 skunks, I still pulled 20 pieces of silver, plus 13, 2016 NIFC, plus a GEM 87D, I pulled 1-45D Walker, 6-64D, 1-64, 1-66, 3-67, 5-68, and 3-69's. Also had 2 Enders which is always nice!

I Got another sealed MWR box of pennies with no marking on the rolls. Initially the copper is pretty much all going back to the wild. But it's early yet so we'll see.

F2FEB007-7502-4FDD-9D30-9111A1035832.jpeg Much welcomed week this week and surprised all branches remembered to order for me. 14 boxes have silver nuggets, 2 boxes were skunks.

    79-40% JFKs
    6-90% JFKs
    1-Franklin
    1-Walker

14.5 ounces. Not a bad month for three out of five weeks being skunks. Ended May with just over 23 ounces.

Random year NIFC will check and see if any are upgrades for books

Bought two Loomis half boxes yesterday. First one was a skunk, but interestingly had 20 NIFCs (a high for me) and another 1974-D Doubled Die Obverse. I’m pacing myself, spending a little time CRH, but primarily focusing on my Dad’s collection of circulated coins. So not sure when I will get to the second box. Soon??????

1 box of halves and 3 boxes of dimes. I’ve had it with loomis boxes of halves. I’m picking up the last two I ordered and that’s it. Done.

I picked up 2 customer wrapped rolls of halves after work today at a bank I visit every other Friday. The teller had them waiting for me (along with a 1953A $2). Looked through them and was happily surprised with these 4:

    1964
    1965
    1968D
    1969D

The 1964 is the nicest looking one, with only a few small brown spots.

Finished $200 of cents for the week. Nothing special. Oh well. Thinking of switching things around after next weeks order. Dropping down from $150 cents to $100 and maybe adding something else. Any thoughts?
2 boxes of nickels (Preformed horribly for me last year but I like the change of silver, buffs, foreign, etc...)
4 boxes of dimes (Not really a favorite of mine. Would just do it for potential silver)
2 boxes of quarters (doubtful on silver but may be able to fill out my quarter books)
Or should I stick with 6 boxes of cents and 6 boxes of halves?

From my own personal experience, I vote cents and halves.

They are my 2 personal favorites. Was just wondering if I should try to get more silver (dimes) or add more stuff to my collection (nickels/quarters). I think I may stick with halves and cents though.
