Okay bad guy coinage, the unofficial ruler of Cyprus but he produced many different types. Right now he has over a dozen plus types for a 7 year rule, he was eventually defeated by Richard the Lionheart. His coins were originally confused with Isaac II the Emperor of the Eastern Empire. Michael Hendy managed to separate them in 1969 but for such a short rule he really produced many types, many with minor variations in wardrobe. I have many of his tetartera but only one trachy, I liked the unique image of St George so much I made it my icon. Many of his coins seem so different. Does anyone else have any of his trachea issues or even his tetartera issues. Please share. Here is SBCV -1991 Doc IV Pl. XVIII this one is just billion but DOC lists both ways billion and Aspron.
I have one, but it won't help with variety... it's also SB 1991! Yours does have an awesome little portrait of St. George.
Another one but a tetarteron , super rare but I cant get more the image to show without harsher cleaning. Its a shame because as you see the detail bellow it has the potential of being a complete strike. The dealer I bought it from tried some cleaning and I only gave it in a oven at low temp but this is its best right now. SBCV -1996 DOC IV Pl XIX
