Is this one DD? I know it's a really pretty color for sure.

Doubling often shows only as tiny notches or splits and means that while the photos are not bad whole coin representations, it's not possible to see the extreme detail necessary to say one way or the other. Some of the lettering does appear thicker than normal, but could be the photos or a number of other causes.

You've come a long way in your time here and deserve a heartfelt kudos for your efforts.

Thank you so much Books. See, I was just messaging someone asking how people can be so certian that a coin isnt one that's logged just by looking at pretty crap pictures that doesn't show any of the detail. I have matched a lot of the coins I post with logged ones on Copper coins before ever posting them, but ever single time it gets turned down. It's hard for me to understand how people can have such certainty to completely vrish off some of these coins.

It's so damn confusing. It's also a bit misleading I think. But then you see that most of the same people that brush you off have so much experience that you just find yourself setting that coin in the spend box without so much as a second look.

I try so hard to understand but I feel like I just won't ever get it. Like this is something that I've finally found in my life that I will just never get. I am extremely smart, I'm not an idiot at all but I definitely feel like one here.

If you feel like an idiot with coins, I would feel worse than an idiot with horses. Know what I mean? :)

Keep in mind folks can only work with what you provide, and please understand I'm not saying this as a negative. Unfortunately, when it comes to minor varieties it's sometimes hard to identify doubling with anything less than the highest quality images, but no one can be expected to provide them. Most here will do the best they can.

Also, this certainly can be difficult as well as confusing, but if some schmo like me who never had an interest in such coins can figure it out, anyone can. I had trouble too, but one day it all of a sudden clicked and I know the same has happened to others.

May I ask if you've tried to train your eyes?

Like this coin... I share it's DDO but only looks like it in a few photos... It's odd how the lighting works to change the entire coin and make it look normal. What do you think?

    Last couple pics...

Yes, I get it about the horse comment. It just gets frustrating day after day working my butt off just trying to find anything worth holding onto or showing everyone. I really appreciate the help from everyone though, that's for sure. It's just very disheartening ya know? Day after day, feeling like I found something amazing and it turns out that it was run over by a bike, car, train, truck and then sat in the stomach of a bloodhound for 3 months...

Anyways I really do appreciate it. It's not really anything anyone said as much as it's become extremely frustrating to me. I'm sorry.

Train my ryes? What do ya mean by that? I am far sighted and could definitely use some glasses but they're just way to expensive so I deal. I probably could use some better equipment to make it a lot easier but that also costs money lol! Im a single Mother of a 27 yro daughter with 3 of her own that live here, a 23 yro Son thats in college in AZ and here's the biggest money breaker right here... A 2 yro little girl that I wasn't supposed to be able to concieve and when I was going for my cancer treatment about 3 yrs ago I found out I was pregnant with her. So, maybe I just can't afford this hobby... Maybe I should knit or crochet? LoL, can't picture myself doing that but hey, it's probably much more affordable than this hobby right?

Rachel, I love your humor. Inside of a bloodhound. That cracked me up.
Yes, lighting and angles can make things look a lot different on coins. It can change the appearance and that changes our perception. Funny how we see something but our minds make us believe differently. Mostly, we see what we what to see, then realize it's something else.
Yes it does get frustrating. Day after day makes it worse. You can search and search and you'll find die varieties which are all minor errors. The really good errors disappear before you hear about them.
If you want to knit or crochet that's fine but it also costs money. Yarn is expensive but in the end you have something you made and that makes it worth it. I'll stick to coins even if it costs more. lol
Bloodhound, I'll be laughing the rest of the day. Thanks. I like to laugh.
