Nice CUD!!! CU-1c-1988-01R http://cuds-on-coins.com/lincoln-cent-cuds-1980-1989/ Did you find it in a roll?
Well my friend gave me a big container of pennies to go through and I found it. Also found really nice 70's and 80's and earlier. I am just sorting through them now.
That's a pretty good friend. Smaller cuds have sold on ebay between 10-100 dollars. I can't find an example of yours that has sold recently but I would imagine it would be on the higher end due to the size of the cud and the condition of the coin. Congrats
I personally wouldn't. Too cool of a find That being said, I would imagine that ebay would be a good start. Not my area of expertise though. @paddyman98 check it out, an actual error!
Since I am a beginner at coins I figure better to ask then to disregard it. It was a cud and not crud!
It's a nice Cud.. But I don't really feel it would bring that much of a huge premium. I have purchased similar Cents for $15.00 - $20.00
Who cares what it's worth? If the OP has any interest in this hobby and/or has any plans to collect, I'd strongly suggest she keep it even if only because she's not likely to just stumble upon another. Congrats on a cool find, Dianne, and welcome to the forum!
Agree 100%. Took me a long time to find my first cud and it wasn't nearly as cool as OPs. I have found quite a few in all of my searches but still nothing quite as impressive as that.
Considering the source, the OP should take this to heart. Still, perhaps I should have used better wording. It's not that I think there's anything wrong with discussing value, but only that we shouldn't do so in a way that could propagate the notion that value is central to this hobby and/or of the utmost importance to all collectors.
Anytime anyone asks me to roll up their coins, I'm rarin' and ready! Found some nice ones in my sisters 5 gallon jug. She even had an 1800's Irish Miners token in that jug. Barely readable but still nice to find.
