Just a quick question for the note collectors in the group. I received a $1 note in change the other day. When looking at it I noticed it was a series 1988A and trying to go back in my foggy memory I don't recall having seen this series before. Is this because they are scarce or are they real common and I just haven't seen one till now? Either way I've put it in with the grandkids collection. BTW the note is in obvious circ. condition IE: folds, discoloration etc. Thanks for shareing your knowledge!
I don't think they were scarce, unless it was a webnote. where is the back plate number (above or below the ONE)?
not a web - DONT SPEND IT. i would quite possibly get sent to the reserve bank and shredded. the 1988-a note were printed VERy heavily, but still dont spend it lol
you sir, are crazy. you see, we need as many people as we can to spend them so they go to the shredders, that way the value increases but seriously, personally I would spend it. I'd keep anything older than 1980. edit: and what they hey is a webnote.
