It was worth it. I got a good laugh from them. Sorry but I do not have any dead coins in body bags. None out of them either. I couldn't resist.
I'm thinking pics of coins in body bags will be few and far between nowadays as there's only a few things left they will body bag one for. Now 15-20 years ago, ya could of seen all ya wanted. Matter of fact, prior to 2007 they were commonly posted right here, along with all the complaints. Personally, I think slabbing problem coins is one of the worst things they TPGs have ever done ! And they've done more than their share of bad things as it is.
In my 1st TPG submission back in 2012 I submitted a plated 1943 Steelie. Needless to say I've come a long way.
My 3 horrors from many years ago (I was actually testing NGC to see how good they really are) Coin #1 - 1939 1 Cent - Damaged to resemble an error. The Reverse was filed down and I thought that it was a blank. Coin #2 - 1945 5 Cent - Damaged - The edge of the Nickel was crushed. Never saw anything like it. Thought it was some crazy Brockage. Coin #3 - 1991 10 Cent - Damaged - You can't see it to well but it's a spooned edge Dime. The rim was flattened down all around. Thought it was a finned rim. Embarrassing! . . . And here is an old funny cartoon I also posted many years ago
Can I use a couple of your photos for a book i am writing? I will credit you should you wish to be credited.
@JCro57 Be my guess, be sure to let me know when it's available. I'll dig it out and see if I can do a better image.
