    Mid 1982 was when they started minting the new Copper Plated Zinc Cent
    All that you see is a plating issue called Plating Bubbles and just a good example of one. But it's nothing major nor does it have any premium.

    It's a zinc large date 1982 cent. The bubbles on the obverse and reverse are caused when air is trapped under the copper plating during the plating process. This is very common but yours is very dramatic compared to other examples.
