hi I found this coin roll hunting and I’m wondering if it’s worth getting graded? The pictures really don’t do it justice.

No it is not worth getting graded. The expense of getting the coin grades would outweigh the value of the coin.

Maybe with ANACS when they do their get 10 coins graded for $100.00.. That would be $10.00 each ;)

It would need full steps to be worth the effort. I don't believe that yours is. you nickel is probably worth a couple bucks. NIce roll find.

It's really only worth a dollar at most in XF.
Hard to tell the condition from these photos. It could be .25-.50 cents if it is all
    scratched up, or cleaned.

Cool find, but not worth it to send in for grading.

You found a nice looking coin while CRH, congratulations! While it may not be worth the expense of having it graded by a TPG you could use it to learn how to grade coins on your own. A good place to start is pcgs.com. PCGS has several videos that will give you a basic understanding of the grading process. You will also find a function called photo grade which uses pictures to match the condition of your coin. Try a 'net search "how to grade a Jefferson nickel". There is a web site called the spruce were you can find out about basic coin grading. A couple of good books on the topic are The Art and Science of Grading Coins by Jason Poe and The Official American Numismatic Association Grading Standards for United States Coins, edited by Kenneth Bressett.
After you understand the basics repost your coin with the grade that you think it is and why. Some of the best minds in the business are on this site and will be happy to help you.
Welcome to Coin Talk and the hobby. I look forward to your next post. Happy collecting!

I really enjoyed your response to this new comer. Unlike the reception that happened to me. Nice.

First, I agree with all the comments you've gotten here. Second, it's a nickel, not a nickle. Third, there are many guides to coin values, and I think that all of them will inform you that a 1938 Jefferson nickel is not going to be worth having slabbed. Great roll find in this day and age, however.

Grading is a picky game. What may excite you as a collector may not be what excites another.
