Gotta love my daughter and her keeping an eye out at the bank she works at. Someone came in and paid a loan with these and a bunch of $2 bills. Haven't looked through those yet. These $1 notes are nothing special (except a few 1957 that are uncirculated), but for face value I'll keep them!
I'm so jealous! I've been looking at all my bills recently although there aren't that many that pass through my hands!
sweet find! i know that feeling, had a girlfriend that worked as a bank teller back in the 80's, an i taught her what to look out for, got a lot of those and red seals back then..cant beat those face value finds...
The 35 Series is really the only thing worth value have several 57,s unc. and Stars to boot ! but because they made so many just not to much collector Value unfortunately but still really cool to hold on to
A few months back she got a 1928C Funny Back. A little worn and circulated. I had PMG look at it in Denver. Said it was probably around $100. Good return on a face value purchase. I really didn't 'plan' to start collecting paper currency, but I think I'll have to expand if this keeps up. This was the previous posting here: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/1-1928-c-find.299855/
not sure i would agree with that assessment, in collecting condition is the number One thing you look at that note would go no higher then an F-15 and at best would Be a filler, just my two cents, it,s for sure worth a dollar so a good pick up !
Outstanding quality !! a 67 in anything is nice, i just wish they didnt make So many...LOL, have about 50 57 *Star* notes there ungraded but in gem Condition, though there numbers are some what lower, the value is around $25 give or take.
I hate to be that guy, but..... There - Let’s go over there. Their - Someone left their cell phone behind. They’re - They’re all having fun.
In March 1964, Secretary of the Treasury C.Douglas Dillon halted redemption of silver certificates for silver dollar coins; during the following four years, silver certificates were redeemable in uncoined silver "granules."
