This guy's got a real rogue's gallery of raw and details key dates at slabbed-problem-free prices, but this one especially caught my eye:

1926-S 5C Buffalo Nickel -NGC Certified

    26s-nickel-weasels.jpg
As best I can tell from the insert, NGC thought the coin was environmentally damaged before the weasels got to the slab. (Or was it the same coin? Hard to say at this point, isn't it?)

Environmental damage and a "problem slab"(he should of mean't NO SLAB), what a deal!

Wow! Hard to believe he would try to sell it like that.
I can't tell from the photos that it is environmentally damaged, except for the slab. NGC a lot of times likes to hedge when they have a high value coin.

One day people will figure out saving slabs and labels doesn't matter. Once it's cracked out it's 100 percent raw and now label matters

Somebody should slab that seller in the face!
    Wake him up!

(See what I did there? :wacky:)

I dunno, but his 1918/7-D raw buffalo that he calls "AU-UNC" looks counterfeit. Like it was cast.

Very suspicious. Why wouldn't he send it in to get re-holdered?

I have not sent anything in to a slabbing company although I understand why people often do. I have no idea what it costs to have a coin graded and slabbed, but I bet it ain't cheap. Maybe that's why the seller hasn't sent it in for re-slabbing.

Actually, it is only $10 to have it reholdered.

I love how the made up valuation of 1700- is written right on there in black marker in case you might forget how valuable a coin it is.

It looks like he's been selling raw "better date" coins for at least a year or so. If he's gotten any negative feedback relating to authenticity, it hasn't stuck.

I'm sure there's at least one bidiot that will bid on it.

There’s likely an excellent reason he hasn’t sent in his coins and it ain’t got anything to do with the cost of it.

$10 plus almost $30 in shipping fees back plus shipping fees to ship it there, it gets costly that can take profit from coins.

More importantly though you can't reholder coins that were broken out like that.
