I would not worry about it. It sounds like his "Round table" is a figment of his imagination and I can't imagine you will have problems from other dealers due to a returned coin.
Wait, in the original statement you only mentioned PVC spots, not a fingerprint. When did a fingerprint come into play? They of course would only be incidentally related if someone touched the PVC goop and didn't wash it all off before touching your coin before slabbing. I did not see the evidence of fingerprint in the photos. Jim
Yes for PVC, the fingerprint was visible in the listing. Seems much for a seller offering 30 day returns. Round Table, good thing it's not the square table, then you'd really be in trouble..haha
I asked if it was a print, and he said it wasn't. The metal was not raised or recessed if it were a flaw in the planchet or marked up from the strike. They also aren't die polish marks. He was simply not being truthful in my opinion. I even said if it is a print, I will return it; he sent it anyway. As for the PVC, he either didn't do a good job inspecting it, or knew about it and tried to pawn off a problem coin. Either way, he is either incompetent or dishonest, neither of which is good. I saw the PVC without a loupe, then used a 5x to see it was not simply on the surface but cratered into the coin.
Two errors: broadstruck and on a blank. These run anywhere from $80-$200 depending on eye appeal, strike, nature of the broadstrike, and other factors in mid to high MS range.
