Someone actually sent this to NGC to get it attributed (Not my coin ) https://www.ebay.com/itm/NGC-BODY-B...327481?hash=item2f1afe2a39:g:UG8AAOSw1u5a~mgb
...and then listed it on eBay. It does make me happy to see that NGC will actually put "DAMAGED TO RESEMBLE ERROR" on a body tag. Rubbing the submitter's nose in it might get their attention.
I'm going to watch this to see if somebody actually pays $17.85 for it! I wonder if it was ever posted here by somebody who didn't believe it wasn't a mint error!
Of course . . . Might it have been some disbelieving newbie who first consulted with CT members and decided we didn't know anything, or wanted to buy their priceless treasure for nothing? Oops . . . just notice @l.cutler beat me to it. .
Looks like they tried to copy the reverse of this awesome - and actually authentic - piece that @Fred Weinberg auctioned off a couple weeks ago (I got outbid buy Jon Sullivan!).
Why would someone page $18 for that coin? Probably someone who can get rid of the NGC stuff and resell it as a 'rare' error.
