Well guy's the auction just closed and I had someone bid against the $5 super repeater..I had 30 sec left to re-submit and i got it in with 12 sec remaining.. I have all the notes I listed in the first post... Yippie!!! RickieB
wow, you won them all???? Now I must ask, do you set limits for yourself when it comes to how high you will go when you see what you want???
Limits...yes indeed. It depends on how hard they are to find! That is a defining limit if you look at it that way. Here is 2 of the notes I won tonight!! Both Super repeaters $1 and $5 in Gem Enjoy...the other will come later RickieB
Two More... Here are the other two stars II got tonight...I am one happy puppy!! Thanks to all who take a peek.. Regards, RickieB
Thanks Clembo.... Here is the Web Press note I stole in the Auction last night! $18.00 in Gem RickieB
Oh My Lord RickeyB ... very superb notes there. I really like that web i will have to look a little later to see what its rating is. but considering it went for so little, i dont think its rating woudl be very high - unless it just wasnt noticed by the web-head community
Wow, sweet man. Congrats! They are beautiful additions to your collection. :thumb: I like those super repeaters, isn't it tough to find two notes that have the same serial #? Either way, you done good man! :thumb: Phoenix
Do I sense an obsession with the New York District (That's a rhetorical question). I love the two notes with identical serial numbers. And I mean identical. Same district and block letter. Awesome catch.
LOL....and a (rhetorical answer) :thumb: It all started with the Series "2B" 1914 $20 Burke/MacAdoo Note for my son 1.4 years ago. The matching SN notes were an instant "I have to have those" item. I am ashamed to say that I spent $100 ea for these, but hey, 20 years from now when he needs them, they just might be worth a little more. Thanks for taking a peek. Regards, RickieB
Didn't you have a thread not all that long ago that said you were done for the year? Even if you did I don't blame you - I love that $500! They are all great! Thanks for sharing!!!
Thanks Guy's for taking a look. The "Super repeaters and the Web Note" are great additions. That web note is from the last Run with a Front plate #6 and a rear plate# of 8... It list for a nice price and it is Graded by CGC at Gem67...$18 bucks for that note!! Everyone have a Great Holiday Season.... Regards, RickieB
