1998 D clipped planchet?

    Not clipped, that's post mint damage.

    That's all damage that you see
    all over the coin, including the
    'missing' area.

    Badly damaged, not an error - sorry.......

    Your gut speaks wisdom. Remind your gut that if it's a cent post-1982 that you're looking at, post mint damage should be your first guess. Your rate of correctness will soar.
