I wouldn't crack them out. Just get some low grade examples for your album.

Bingo. I've long thought this a fine alternative even in cases where someone wants to fill a hole and cannot afford to do so.

Otherwise, just buy slab pages like suggested earlier. Cracking widgets is one thing, but if concerned with value, grades, damage, etc, etc, why bother when there are other options.
