In general, I have not been able to get ladies to help me shovel the drive. :D

So I moved the family to Texas.

I gave up shoveling the driveway years ago.

We got several inches last night here. I find driving the van up and down the driveway works just fine. Then shovel strategic paths to where vehicles are parked.

    Hey, it all melts eventually.

The nice thing about winter and snow...is your lawn looks as good as everybody else's! lol

Christmas snow would be nice. Never had it. Little Rock is to far south and if we get it its usually in February, many times on Valentines day. What I don't get is Lowes and Home Depot have snow shovels advertised for sale yet I have never even held one.

Every classic Christmas card I get with the traditional small farm house covered in snow with a smoking chimney makes me think, Iowa would be nice this time of year. Extended forecast for Christmas Eve....54 degrees. Maybe snow next year.

If people were offering those ladies for clearing their driveways I'd be driving my tractor up and down the streets knocking them out!

Todays looks like a good day for a fire and football!!! Go Steelers!

Where's the fire Darryl? As it turns out we got about 8 inches last night. Figured it out when I set out the door for work. Then the boss called me and said stay home. Yippeee!

Only one thing to do now. First decent snow of the year. Barbeque time!

Now I gotta start a thread about it.

Hmm if that was a 1916 would you be asking a half naked lady to shovel your drive?

Snow? whats snow? here in Florida the only thing here thats white are the beaches and people don't like it when you throw sand balls at them.

Don't be so sure John, in the years that I lived there - I managed to have a snowball fight in Orlando ;)

GD, How long ago was it when you lived there? With global warming I think the chances of snow staying on the ground long enough to make snowballs might be slim to none and slim just left. I was told that several years ago mid 90's (I think) they had snow on the beach.

My best memory of snow was one morning that I stalled forever while my mother started the drive way. When I finally showed up there was only abount three feet left to get to the street. When I hit the curb I found a Booker T Washington commemerative just laying there under 6 inches of snow. Why and how it got there will never be known!

I guess that you could say that you DID have a snowball's chance in H--l to find a commemorative coin on the ground under the snow in Florida.
    Say, what year was this?
    1957?
    (Just kidding).

Yea, 1956 or 1957, but in Delaware.

It was in the '70s. But hey, hasn't anybody told you yet that the result of global warming is that it presages the next ice age ? I'd go buy some skis if I were you ;)
