My favourite pachyderm on a coin: Quintus Caecilius Metellus Pius, 81 BC. An ancestor of the moneyer paraded captured elephants in his triumph over Hasdrubal, and the elephant became the family's symbol.

quite a nice couple the RC..i wasn't real sure what a pachyderm was...but i don't think i have to google it now.
Hmm. I'm not sure why you're running into this problem. You seem to have posted your other coins without difficulty. Is the photo in jpg format? I don't have any trouble posting this Seleukid with an elephant:
Antiocus VI, ca. 148–142/1 BC Minted in Antioch - for some reason I didn't weigh and measure that coin. Obv.: Radiate head of Antiochus VI, wreathed with ivy. Rev.: ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΝΤΙΟΧΟΥ / ΕΠΙΦΑΝΟΥΣ ∆ΙΟΝΥΣΟΥ; elephant walking left holding torch in trunk, ΣΤΑ above right, cornucopia right.

pach·y·derm [ˈpakəˌdərm] NOUN a very large mammal with thick skin, especially an elephant, rhinoceros, or hippopotamus.
You are right of course. I knew that, but my mind substituted elephant for pachyderm when I read it. And, I am an animal guy. Geezz....I wonder more and more every day about obvious things I miss.....
