    A couple of antoniniani issued by Philip I, acquired at a local show:

    Rev: AETERNITAS AVGG, elephant guided by mahout with goad and wand, walking left.

    Quintus Caecilius Metellus Pius, 81 BC. An ancestor of the moneyer paraded captured elephants in his triumph over Hasdrubal, and the elephant became the family's symbol.

    Hmm. I'm not sure why you're running into this problem. You seem to have posted your other coins without difficulty. Is the photo in jpg format?

    I don't have any trouble posting this Seleukid with an elephant:

    Obv.: Radiate head of Antiochus VI, wreathed with ivy.

    You are right of course.
    I knew that, but my mind substituted elephant for pachyderm when I read it.
    And, I am an animal guy. Geezz....I wonder more and more every day about obvious things I miss.....
