A temple dating to the reign of Antoninus Pius has been discovered near Siwa Oasis, the famous place where Alexander consulted the Oracle of Ammon and discovered that he indeed was the son of God and destined to rule a large empire.

Siwa is a great place where you can sit in an outdoor cafe, enjoy a shisha smoke and some strong coffee (Awha mas But) whilst staring up at the ruins and the great groves of palms. Now, it boasts a new temple found with Greek inscriptions.

Very cool. I'm not gonna lie, I only learned about Siwa from playing Assassin's Creed: Origins.

Your welcome. I found it to be a highly interesting story and another good reason to make the long trek to Siwa by bus (or driving) from Alexandria. It is far off in the Sahara desert.

I am not sure but I think Zahi may have retired. Another archaeologist getting a lot of play in the media is Salima Ikram, my former classmate at Berkeley in hieroglyphics classes.

I wish there were more open-world games that take place in the ancient era. It was (and still is) so much fun exploring Ptolemaic Egypt.
