    The coins of Alexander III can be very tricky because for the first few years he simply employed the coin types of his father Philip II. Current scholarship suggests that the transition to his own types did not occur until circa 333 or even a bit later. It is possible that the mint at Amphipolis was even later. However I do have an Alexander from Amphipolis Troxell group E alexandert46.jpg
