Hi everyone, Can anyone point me in the direction of identifying this as a real coin or a replica. I have read many threads on this coin, copies, fakes, varying weights depending on where it was struck etc. Most articles say something completely different adding to more confusion about it. Thanks!

Thanks for your reply Kentucky. However, I could not get to that site, Firefox stopped me. Said it was not secure. I tried china-mint.com and it came up with a blank page.

It's a Chinese counterfeit. Has that look to it.

I'd be very suspicious of that being counterfeit. As the others said, it "has the look". That being said, some of the genuine stuff from that period can look "fake", too, so what do I know? Not enough, when it comes to Chinese coins.
