Can anyone give me the ballpark values on these two....the $20 I picked up for $30 the $10 well that ran a tad bit more...BTW those bright white spots is sune light coming through the shade..not on the notes Thanks
Sounds like you did OK. For reasons I’m not sure about, the small sized market is a bit down. If you got both of them for between $75 -$100, then it’s a fair deal. I’m curious why you’re asking AFTER you bought them, instead of asking advice BEFORE your purchase.
An impulse buy my dad worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond Baltimore branch 47 years.... he started in 1927... at 15 y/o !the $10 note was a bank a family friend who was like an aunt to me worked all her life at that bank. The fact both crossed my path yesterday ,as well some fond memories is why they now are mine.
I don't know if you saw my post ....but as a child dad took me to the vault where I actually sat on a skid of Woodrow Wilson 's
These aren't federal reserve notes. I see a lot of folds and stains, and poor centering on the 20. I am at $35 on the 20. And about the same on the $10.
the $20 is a federal reserve bank national note, these brown seal notes were made for all 12 federal reserve banks, they are like $30 in poor condition, the $10 is a national note as it has "national" in the banks name, a 6 digit serial number and a charter number, these can go from $60 on up depending on condition and bank rarity...nice notes, i like em...
