    Well look at the S on back side of the 56 what does that mean when it’s double punch or whatever I new to all this so not sure

    I voted "no" since they are clearly nickels and not nickles.

    Anyone know how to tell if the 43 is silver or not

    That big ole' mint mark on the reverse tells you it is....

    The 43 should be silver it has obviously a lot of circulation wear, the 56 IMO is DDD ( die deterioration doubling) JMO.

    If you look at the S on states on the back it doesn’t look deteriorated it looks cut in half or am I just wishful thinking

    Well if u enlarge the pic of the 56 on the back and look at the word States the first S it looks cut in half compared to the s on the last letter of states
