1903 penny error?

    That's damage. A hit at 6 o'clock and solder at 12 o'clock.

    Looks like at one time someone had that on a necklace.
    The plugged hole was where the necklace went through.
    the flatten bottom just is some kind of damage.
    Then someone plugged the hole at some point.

    That cent hung on somebody's necklace so long, that even the hole was repaired. Yep, that is a formerly holed cent.

    squashed a bit top and bottom. I'm thinking maybe they put it in a vice to hold steady to drill the hole.
