While looking for wheat pennies to finish filling out a collectors book, I came across this 1957 penny that looked odd. The D is so slanted, it looks smooshed. I tried looking up "slanted D pennies" and they all look fine just a bit off center, nothing like mine. So I was curious. Thank you! (Picture taken with app "Magnify")

Thank you! I'm not a coin collector per say, my kids and I just enjoy filling the books together. So I probably won't be very active, but it's nice to know that such a friendly community exists when we come across something interesting. :)

@eddiespin - HaHaHa! Wouldn't that be nice! Drinks on me ;)

While this mint mark is damaged, keep an eye out for "rotated" re-punched mint marks, the vertical bar will show a serious angle.
