I'll admit, I bought this for the slab. I wanted the little lighthouse pic. Into my Rhode Island collection it goes!
I have two silver ATB quarters in those slabs for the same reason. One is a destination my wife and I vacation to and it happened to be minted the first year we went... gotta hand it to them as those colorful backdrops are a nice touch.
Yeah, but I'm guessing you didn't have to pay much premium for the grade since is a 69, so I think it's smart to get the label you want to go a long with an attractive Silver quarter. My Silver Proof set should arrive within the next day or so.
I know reverse toners aren't as highly sought after as obverse toners, but I like the eye appeal of this one. I also like the fact the obverse is actually a 65, IMO. 1887 MS65 by jpcienkus posted May 3, 2018 at 9:08 PM 1887 MS65 obverse by jpcienkus posted May 3, 2018 at 9:08 PM
Not quite a US coin but struck at the San Francisco Mint... Also I found a nice 2016 NPS silver commemorative
I don't have many graded Mercury Dimes. A little flat on the middle band. At least, the bridge of Liberty's nose is there. A fairly well struck coin.

I found some very cool H-10s at the show today..... first an 1860 RPM 002 this is quite an eye pleasing little coin ,the pictures don't do the ocean blue tone that wraps around its rim on the obv. and rev. She's raw however I give her an MS-63 conservatively. you can see at the base of the 1 the re punch south, as well the re punched 0. Her rev. also shows some nice clash marks. this is my 3 rd 1860 H-10 purchased for both the condition as well variety.
Next up is an 1845 H-10 another nicely toned specimen. an azure blue center trimmed with a rusty orange /reddish hue around its rim. This coin is graded by PCGS grade withheld at present. Later I will image the die crack.... that travels around the coin through the date ,stars Liberty head ,her hat , then more stars ,and down to her foot! This has one really cool die crack...360 degrees around the coin
The 1860 is raw picked it ...my images don't do justice wait 3 more h-10's to post an 1881 s neon toned Morgan and two bank notes I need to post. ) went a tad bit crazy today
