I'm kinda peeved with Ebay as a whole so I thought I would post this. We have seen some really good honest sellers, and then the types like this. Makes one wonder.

Frank, I just read his feedback as a buyer on Santas, YIKES, he buys a lot of ANACS problems, and you can easily see the crackouts in his new feedback.

LOL, I think this is a riot !!!!:desk:

His MO was posted a while back on the P C G S boards, There are some high ups watching this crook and I just caught this one tonight. Wait and see.......

... I don't see the problem here? (with the crack outs) If he had the coins originally, before they ever got to ANACS I don't think anyone would have a problem with it. As it is, people should be able to tell if they're cleaned or not.

But the photoshopping is a bit of a problem. And not mentioning the cleaning is sketch, at best. I don't know, I guess I just feel theres bigger crooks to catch on ebay.

Your points are valid Ardatirion there are bigger thieves to catch and he is basically flipping coins with an extra step (removing them from the holder).

Therein lies the problem. If he owned these "pre slab" he could legitimately claim ignorance. As it is he KNOWS they have problems that is WHY he removes them from the slabs. His little disclaimers are a very thin veil to cover his sorry butt.

Please also note that he is, in essence, a "repeat offender". He may not be the biggest scammer on ebay right now but he sure as hell is giving it the "old college try". If once a scammer always a scammer applies he is living up to it.

Want to know what REALLY bothers me though? What if this guy actually put his mind to doing something legitimate? We see so many "brilliant" crooks these days that it really makes me wonder.

Actually, the Detective work was not mine, it was posted on another site, I just read the thread and started looking. This was a new one that I discovered, so I posted on both sites.

He has more problem coins purchased waiting to list yet as well. The other site has a guy who has a whole string of Heritage auctions that he buys from both online and live. We will never know the scope of this sellers fraud, but it will only hurt the hobby.

Ebay refuses to do anything that will get in the way of profit. I now have 2 negs from a seller that did not even own the coins auctioned. The pictures were from Heritage, and the rightfull owner is a mambr of another site I frequent.

Reply from Ebay upon my feedback review was, sit down for this one:

We have banned the seller for using false contact information and stolen pictures. Just because the feedback left was retaliatory and untrue is not just cause to remove it. Feedback is a member to member vital part of our system and to edit it would make Ebay less than an honest place to do business and impeed the dynamics of the marketplace.

YES, you have read correct. I am mad enough to throw things, lol. Oh well, deal with it. You cannot fight city hall or the Big E.:loud:

You said that this seller gave false contact info. If that is true, here is a line fromteh eBay feedback policy that might interest you.

What their policy reads and what they do is different. I have been thru this 3 times in review process you pointed out with them and on the phone twice. Feedback is not going away they say. Will NOT go away unless I, get this, get a court order, or show that I was threatened by seller.

Seller has not been suspended permanantly, only temporarily they say, and when he returns, we can do that mutual thing.

Ebay does not give one $^$%&&^ about anything but fees, plain and simple. They are actually letting this guy back on.

    Enough said Jack.

You know Overstock sucks as well but it CAN'T get any worse than this. Can it? I can see a 75% rating when one first starts out, makes a mistake, gets a bogus feedback with 4 transacions but this IS obviously scam. Ebay seems to be determined to self destruct. Good riddance if they do.

I can see legitimate web sites and the local coin shop making a strong comeback.

The additude I got on the phone, I went to a supervisor today, was too bad. Take it or leave it, where else are you going to go. We " understand" your frustration. No go play in the road, you bother us. Oh yeah, for $30 we'll do a Square trade review for you, no promises tho, feedback keeps , sit down again........., " Ebay honest and transparent".

LOL, Whatever. If I take a stand, I lose. I'll go back selling on Ebay, but will make a much larger effort at the alternatives. No one can deny that Ebay is the best possible place in the world to get exposed and new customers, but it is killing itself with neglect and greed.

With any luck, as with hotsauce, I will wean from ebay and find success on my own website. I just keep a cpl token auctions up for the sauce now, and it hasn't even dented my sauce biz a bit.
