    A visit to the British Museum is a bucket list item for me although I don't care for the expression bucket list :yawn:.

    Thanks for the link. It seems this “network” approach of the BM reflects a charitable attitude toward private coin ownership in the UK. I wonder if American museums would share that perspective and partner with private collectors.

    One interesting comment from the site: “Knowledge of how best to store coins has changed dramatically in recent years. Traditional methods of storing coins, like cushioning coin trays with felt, have been proven to negatively affect the condition of objects by attracting pests and giving off harmful gases.” I am currently switching my collection from flips to Lighthouse trays which are lined with felt. I wonder if I am making a mistake. Maybe I will find out in a couple hundred years.
