My older brother & I deliver newspapers once a week. Once a month when we collect for the paper, we always look to see if we have any cool coins or bills. We haven't found something cool in a few months, but this month will be one we'll never forget. To start off, I got 3 star note 2013 1 dollar bills! But the best finds were yet to come..... My brother got a 1935 D 1 dollar bill silver certificate! In circulation, and in great condition! And after searching for a while, he found another 1935 D 1 dollar bill silver certificate! Just remember that there are such 1935 notes, AND 1935 silver dollars, and in the HUGE majority of cases, people preferred the former over the latter.
Congrats! Do you know who paid with the notes? If so, I’d make sure to hand deliver their papers. Thank them, let them know you collect, and that you would be interested in more at face value. TC
Good idea.... well, except for the last part anyway, and simply because it could easily come off the wrong way. Letting them know he collects and then going out of his way to do a good job should be sufficient. They'll get the hint....
