I am playing with my camera and some of the better BU's I yanked from the set I bought last week. Heres a few pics from tonights experiments. If you like pretty colors on Lincolns, you should like these, no real gems here, just nice color.

A new bulb in the lamp, a tripod and better white balance I think.

I have no life now, I shut down my Ebay in protest, long story, don't ask. I just sit and take pictures and will use this time to get my collection documented, photographed and entered into coin manage software. Just kidding about the no life part, I still have my buyer account.

I'm not a big Lincoln fan, but your pics show how cool those things age.

Actually, after seeing your pix, I pulled out my 3 or 4 Lincoln albums. I haven't looked at them for quite some time. There are many that are toning quite nicely. They're in the old fashioned "push the coin in the slot" folders. I've actually got a "real" album (whitman) that I bought awhile ago and should probably use.

    I guess I have a weekend project!

    Thanks for the pix!

    Now, what did you use?

My Fujipic cheapo and a new Phillips natural blue? I threw the package away. I am using the macro setting, 6" focal distance and the white balance is set to sunlight in auto mode otherwise.

It is unbelievable what the light and the white balance will do. I will step it up in pixel quality next, I have it set for 3 something, I can go to 5 point something.

a cpl more pics tonight will follow. Maybe I dont need a new camera for general use, just a microscope 30X computer camera for the Rpm pics, and I think Santa got me that. We'll see.

Yeah, i just realized you shut down your ebay store. I was looking through my fave sellers, and thought i'd see what you had up for sale.

I will setup my ebay again after all. They have banned the seller and will remove my negs. BUT, I also think taking a stand is well intentioned, but you simply cannot fight the BigE, you will lose, they will win.

Why shoot my self in the foot again. It's only me I will hurt.:desk:
I will list TONS of high end Lincolns in next cpl days

Concerning software - I also use CoinManage.

I'm an IT guy with 20+ years experience behind me. I've never tried other coin collecting software, but this one is really stable. That's what I look for in this kind of thing.

There ain't gonna be any software that will fit your coin collecting habits exactly. So you're gonna have to fill in your "special" fields that you think are important or whatever.

But I've used CoinManage for a couple of years and it's rock solid - from an "IT - GEEK" perspective..

As a disclaimer, I have absolutely nothing to do with this software and to be perfectly honest, if you have a small collection - just use either Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Access. Take a weekend and train yourself up - you'll be well rewarded.

There is a seller on ebay who gave me a free 90 day trial of " Numis-Expert Pro III ", seller is Jaresch and he writes the software I believe. To be honest, I have yet to install it, but I'll be glad to offer my opinion when I do. All winners who buy from him will get the free software trial, a real nice added bonus.

Here is a link to that seller:
