Thank you very much for your kind comments. I haven't given up on it. I have quite a few more coins to add to it. I have to decide whether I want to try to cross some of the coins from PCGS.

I'm trying to learn to photograph coins as well. Once I get semi-proficient, I plan to spend a lot of time updating my set and update my comments associated with the coins.

I'm not a big colored coin fan, but I did break down and buy two sets:
    1. Great Lakes set directly from the Canadian Mint. They are still in their mint capsules.
    2. Year of the Snake colored coins from Perth Mint. I bought these in MS69 slabs. Just wanted the protection, plus they were about the same price as ones in airtites.
I just love the design on both sets. I added them to my collection because I enjoy the bullion pieces. I will likely lose money on them over time. Don't really care though.

I had plans to someday do a registry set but I never stayed with one brand of slab. When NGC quit allowing PCGS slabs, it killed it for me. Can't talk myself into crossing either direction. The cost and risk are just too much.

I agree it can be quite expensive to cross coins, but there is no risk at all. At least when crossing PCGS to NGC you have to enter a minimum grade on the crossover form. If the fields remains empty, the coin needs to cross at the same grade or at a higher grade. If it doesn’t cross at least at the same grade, they won’t crack it out.

I pretty much gave up when ngc stopped talking pcgs slabs too I’m in full agreement with Larry. Especially as I had a lot of cac approved coins too. I’ve sold a lot of my collection too as I needed money

I've had a top 3CN Proof set for a number of years. I'm selling them as well at auction now, though.
