The surfaces look a little odd, like it's been polished. I agree with @Dillan in that you should have a TPG grade it or ask a local dealer that you trust.
Yes I agree ....and the fact that this looks to good to be true....I hope I am wrong....as being incorrect in this case is less crow to eat then if I had purchased it and it was a fake.
Ok guys, i'm residing in Africa. The chance of getting this coin graded soon, is almost impossible. That is the reason why i posted my grading request as soon as i saw the MS64 coin @ HA Auctions. Thank you for all your effort and answers.
It is AU, and not worth the cost of grading. I would do ANACS, since authentication is the most important thing. About 1/3 the cost of N or P.
Comments like this one are useless, especially when coming from a new forum member with no "street cred". Remember, low quality pictures may not show all details or may make the coin look funny. If it was cleaned/dipped, it may also look a bit odd. I'd say until someone comes up with a very good reason why it's a fake it is not.
Ah, I see the problem clearly. I think it's genuine, but possibly polished. Do you have a way to store it? I suggest an airtite. Not expensive, but effective.
I apologize for the error in my response. I noticed the same details that others noticed in the thread. I just checked the OP's new pictures, and they make the coin appear to be real. Off topic, I know, but I have several thousand posts on another coin forum. Just sayin'.
I'm cool ... no need to apologize, my mistake for posting low quality pics from the beginning ... my photography ability sucks ...
