Hey, at 52, I'm just a median age whippersnapper in these parts.

    Reading glasses? Check.
    Denture? Check.
Cane? Not yet, but it's starting to sound good.
    Hair? Still got it!
    Hearing? Whaaa?
    Other stuff? Nunyabidness.

    Yeah, I know.

@Deus Ex Machina - sorry we've drifted rather far from your original topic. ;)

I've always thought that digital formats sounded tinny versus the vinyl originals. Now that I have hearing aids it is much more pronounced
    tinny effect.

I remember well the very first time I saw the new 1959 cent with the Memorial on the reverse. I was in 9th grade at the US Army Dependent School outside of Paris.

You are a welcome addition here, but I regret your attitude towards high school. The more effort you put in now, the more it will serve you in life. Don't get too jaded too soon.

I still drive my 2000 Saturn LS, but the cassette player no longer works. It was my "new" car until last year when I bought a Hyundai and sold my 1990 Oldsmobile (all three bought when they were new).

I also like to go through the "junk boxes" for foreign coins. I even like the ones, like the Indonesian coin, where inflation has made it worth thousandths of a cent, or like the German 50 pfennig that has no face value because it has been replaced by the Euro. Of course, I'd rather find a nice oddity worth hundreds of dollars, but I've only done that once.
