    Looking for some opinions.
1884-S Morgan PCGS genuine “cleaned-AU Details”....

    Main concern is between AU55 and MS60, there’s about a $9,000 swing.

Would you take it out the slab and send it off again and see what you get second time, take it out send it to NGC, or live with never really knowing??

    Thanks Beau

Sorry, but it appears the obverse has too many hairlines. I don’t think it’s worth another shot...

The coin is obviously cleaned, so while yes, you can crack it out and submit it again, or send it to another service, the fact is that the result will be similar in the fact that the coin will not straight grade.

Be careful buying problem coins, they will always be harder to sell.

Essentially you’re hoping for an uncirculated details cleaned for the value bump. I don’t see that happening at PCGS as they generally lower a details grade around value jumps anyway, but given the increase it is tempting. NGC you may have a shot, but ultimately I think you’d come up short and would be wishing you just left it in the initial gold shield holder
